RTP

RTP is a transport protocol for signalling real-time streams, for applications like VOIP and video conferencing. It is good because each user can send back the quality of the stream they are receiving, meaning that, if the quality is low, the stream can be renegotiated at a lower bitrate, or different codec to compensate. This makes it great for applications that can tolerate some data loss.
