IPSC
IPSC or IPSC Interconnect Status as it is known is the use of 10 of 29 PoP (point of presence) interconnects. Entanet has decided to transfer all realms of DSL users onto these new interconnects, however this does not mean your line is now on 21CN as it uses completely different cables and different routes. In doing this it allows for more easier upgrades of capacity and a cut in distance between you and the main servers. Enta houses its six centrals in its data centre next to its HQ in Telford, UK.
Entanet released this statements on its website on 23rd December 2008
"Throughout January 2009 we will be transferring DSL based connections over to the new IPStream Connect platform. This platform has several benefits over the existing IPStream Central approach, including greater flexibility in relation to bandwidth management and an increased number of interconnects. The transfer will take place on a realm by realm basis and will be closely managed by both Entanet and BT. Users should not experience any loss of service or service degradation during the transfer as existing connections will continue to work on the IPStream Central platform until the user re-authenticates. At this point the connection will be transferred automatically over our IPStream Connect platform. All other features of the products remain the same, including potential line speeds, interleaving status etc."
At the time of writing this, due to the lack of technical information released about these interconnects we can only assume theat they will me gigabit routers. Meaning that a 630mb pipe has now become ~1024mb and an extra four has been added. Each location has been particuarly stratagised to where consumer demand is. The three in London do not seem to be very popular, this is probably due to Businesses having local fibre routes or better internet speeds from other providers.
Below is a link to the status of IP interconnects.

The first day of it being fully active proved it was a **** up as speeds plumeted to just above 1mb.
