EvoTAM

EvoTAM ("Evolutionary" Test Access Matrix) is the latest TAM being deployed by Openreach. It's function is very similar to the TAM except it has greater capacity, and when the 21CN project is finished all BT lines will be routed through this platform. The EvoTAM is situated between the MSAN and the MDF. Currently due to problems with the VOIP part of the 21CN project, only the B/Band will be routed through the EvoTAM. OLO's will also be able to provide their services through the EvoTAM. As the EvoTAM has been designed by Openreach it also has the added function of becoming a RU (Remote Unit) which when used with the Hawk, will enable all lines to be fixed to a quality standard as Pair Quality Tests will be stored on every provision and repair tasks.
