DSL

DSL stands for Digital Subscriber Loop, a method taken in connecting you the end user to the internet. DSL lines vary from 256kbp/s speeds upto a headline speed of 24mbps on networks such as Be*, and 20mbps on 02.

DSL lines are usually made out of copper cables, but due to the copper shortage in the UK that BT suffered in the 1970s, aluminium was partly used to supply its users.
