Cool Get software

I just wanted to get the best software there is out in the market, regardless of the fact that it is a freeware or we have to pay for it, used for internet optimization.

Cool can't we do that?

But can't we use softwares to make it better? I thought that softwares were meant to make your broadband better and faster not slow it down. It's just a little tweaking for performance, nothing else but that.

yes you can use some software to tweak settings, but you have to know what you are doing.
but so called "connection boosters" and things like them claim to speed up your connection, but because of the way broadband works, it actually ends up slowing it down.

I heard something about Windows XP actually using a small portion of your bandwith for it's self and you can disable this but it's illegal to do or breaks the EULA, I'm not too sure I heard this a while back and I'm not sure if it's a rumour or not.

O no. I am not going to do this. Because it sounds like we have to modify our windows' files and registry setting. And doing this mostly results errors and system unstability, if not soon then probably in the long run.

Remember the softwares help in increasing the logical speed of your bandwidth. The maximum increase in the internet optimization that any software can do is only around 2 to 10%.

Many people are misled that softwares can increase the connection speed, yes they do but that optimization is done by clearing the cache, updating the register and giving more RAM usage to internet applications. The disadvantages of this optimization using softwares is that you have to optimize everytime using the software before browsing.

The marginal increase in the internet speed would be only around a increase in a few kbps of download or browsing speed. If you are really interested in increasing the speed update your physical connection to a higher internet bandwidth and the softwares won't do much as you are expecting.

What type of software would you recommend then. I have never had any that really helped me enhance my connection speed.
