Post Any software to improve browsing speed?

If anyone knows some softwares or tweaking tips that would improve the browsing speed and download speed please reply. It could help every member of this site.

It's most likely your DNS servers rather than your connection speed.

Try opendns.com

There are some softwares which could marginally improve the browsing speed by clearing up the caches and large bulk files. However not most of those softwares are free and as far as I know they are available in torrents.

What would happen if you opened the task manager and altered the browser's priority?

Won't changing the priority from "normal" to "above normal" or "high" speed things up a bit?

While you are in there, can you turn off programs that are running in the background but aren't crucial to operations?

Just a couple of ideas that probably aren't worth anything.

If you use firefox install the adblock plus add on. It will mean you don't have to download and render adverts on web pages and might speed up displaying a page.

I love Firefox but have had problems since installing the latest version. It has about killed me to use IE while I'm trying to figure out what happened to Firefox!

IE seems to be a lot slower for me. The load time for web pages seems to be much higher then with Firefox.
