You should try Chrome and Avant. I use both of them and prefer them to IE and FF since they are faster and more elegant.

using Firefox with add-ons:-
DNS prefetcher (resolves DNS querys before you click on links - this is what makes CHROME fast)
FasterFox (increases speed with link prefetching , multiple connections and pipelining)
Adblock Plus - (with easyprivacy and easylist removes Ads and de-creases page load times)

this improves speed immensely
