Thats the reason I didn't download the new version. There will be no back ups for our bookmarked and favorite pages, everything will be new when you installed the new version of Firefox.

Thats why I don't use the bookmark section of Firefox. I use Google bookmarks for bookmarking all my favorite sites.

To avoid this, you can have another browser installed like opera. While installing you will be able to import all the data from firefox to opera. Once you are done with this, you can proceed with the installation of your new browser. Again while installing the new version, the setup wil prompt you to make it as the default browser and after that you can transfer your bookmarks from the other browser(opera) to the new browser(firefox)

I think I am following what you say. However I have already dowloaded the newest Fire Fox and lost all the information. Is there a way to retrieve it?

I sure wish I would have had this information before I downloaded the latest version. Is there anywhere to go get the older version?

Unfortunately there is no way to really do that. You could possibly try to do a system restore as that would probably allow you to get back your old version of Firefox.

I do know how to do that with the Windows XP. However I can't seem to locate it on Windows Vista. I really reeally dislike the Windows Vista btw!
