Default The Free Security Setup

Heres my opinion of the perfect FREE security setup.

For the Anti Virus: Avira AntiVir Free. Light on resources, regular updates and good detection rates. http://www.free-av.com/

For the Spyware: Spybot Search and Destroy. Nice little easy-to-use program. http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/

If you feel like using a Firewall (which i personally just use Windows own): Comodo Firewall. http://www.personalfirewall.comodo.com/

There is nothing wrong with spybot at all. I get updates every 2-3 days.

But its all opinion.

I have never even had spyware to remove. But it better to be safe. I like the Immunisation system it uses to block vulnerabilities in IE/Firefox etc.

The best anti virus is bit defender or nod 32

The best anti spyware is super antispyware

The best firewall is PC tolls firewall

Isn't Kasparski also free? I have heard good things about that project. Maybe it is more Europe based? Anyone have an idea?
