Your first step should be to contact your provider. They may be able to swap out the hardware you were issued. There might be a fee, but it would probably be cheaper than buying new hardware yourself.
That said any wireless access point (WAP) should work. You will want to know which protocol (speed) you want. A, B, G, N? Cheers! Wirelessmonk |

I have a wireless router that Verizon provided when I switched from DSL to FIOS (fibre optics). It is working great right now - the computers all have wireless connection to each other and to the internet - but last week there were days when the network was down sometimes for hours at a time. When I reset the router by switching it off then on again the problem went away. Hope it's a permanent fix.

When you resolve the problem I would appreciate it if you post what you ended up choosing and what lead you there.
Thanks, in advance. TFF

Well my southern hick town of residence had a hard time understanding why in the world I would want wireless, so of course they do not have wireless routers that they can exchange. I had to go out and purchase a wireless one. And sorry that i dont know the technical terms but i ran it out of the modem into the wireless router and kept the phone in the modem, it works, thats what i wanted. Lord I hope i dont ever need technical assistance....
