Default Router recommendation for UK DSL line

My friend's address is xxx.dslgb.com, and he needs a new router. Which ISP is that and who makes good routers with matching chipsets?

Looks that way Iirc this is a pre-FUP customer who declined to leave or have their contract changed, if that sounds right. What chipsets do their DSLAMs take? Does that matter when picking a modem/router?
