Default People Moving Around the Router Causes Disconnection of the Internet

Firstly, I know the title is long:P
Anyway, I connect to the internet wirelessly as the router is in a seperate to my PC. I have a pretty trusty dongel however recently I've noticed that whenever someone goes moves around near the router my PC loses connection to the internet. It's a bit of a weird problem, and when the person leaves the room the connection fixes itself:P

I'm not really sure if there would be a fix for this but any ideas?

My guess is that it's configured in a weird way. Maybe they're tripping over cords? I have never heard of this before.

There must be faulty connection or configuration in your router. And in the worst case it may be a problem with the router hardware. Check you configurations and report to the router company.

Default Cant believe it

I cant bliv that people moving around causes disconnection. Looks odd. Maybe some improper settings would have caused the problems. Reconfigure and check if the problem gets solved.

This does sound very odd or at least I have never heard of it before. I would also first check your settings.

I also wondered if it was a mechanical situation, as in someone physically bumping the cords?

I'd be interested to hear exactly what it was, if you figure it out.

You said you're connecting wirelessly. What's the signal strength when it's working properly? And what's the signal strength when someone comes into the room? Do you get changes in the signal? I would be curious to know.

You should see if you lose a connection on the PC if someone is moving near the router or if it just happens with the laptop. I think it is a problem with the router that it is allowing someone simply moving near it to cause a disruption of service. The router should not be that sensitive.
