Well, we did, a few years back, for about a year.

We just moved in the house, and connected the cable to the TV. Voila! Free cable. It was comcast.

We shut up about it. I know, not right, but what're you gonna do?

After a few months, a Comcast contractor rang the doorbell and asked us, with a smile on his face, if we wanted to start paying for cable. Apparently, they were doing some work in the area and found we were getting a free ride.

We've been paying since, but we did get almost a year for free

Anybody else ever have a similar experience?

I do pay for basic..... and I never said I wouldn't.... I do get extended.... and I have never paid for it. I didn't ask for it, but did take a awful long time to .... perform the request.... which never got performed then in the end.... I do not get paid channel packages... like hbo/cinemax and showtime or whatever.... But the guy said Merry Christmas in April 2003 I swear.... and it's not on my bill, extended anyways. But I never set up to steal anything. That cable guy just couldn't be hassled into going all the way out back to shut off the extended part?
